Let's come together on August 12 to celebrate World Elephant Day! This special event was founded in 2012 to bring attention to the urgent need for conservation of all species of elephant, both Asian and African. Elephants are an incredibly intelligent species, with a complex social structure that is fascinating to observe. They have been around for millions of years, yet unfortunately their numbers are rapidly decreasing due to human activities such as poaching and habitat loss. Let's use this day to raise awareness about the importance of protecting these majestic creatures!
